Accounting Officer (M/F)
6-month fixed-term contract, full-time
MAIN DUTIES
The Accounting Officer's main responsibility is the day-to-day handling of general and cost accounting.
MAIN TASKS
Day-to-day accounting management:
- Daily encoding of supplier invoices (expenses, expense reports, VISA, receipts, etc.)
- Preparation and encoding of bank statements
- Preparation and encoding of cash registers
- Preparation of occasional payroll tax returns
- Assistance with VAT returns
- Assistance with balance sheet and income statement preparation
- General accounts management
- Preparation of rental invoices
Administrative management :
- Mail processing
- Intrastat declaration (statistics)
- Customer reminders (blocked customers, payment orders, bailiffs) and ageing balance follow-up
- Supplier reminder management
- Management of telephone calls
- Training files
- Tender file
Teamwork:
Collaboration with other departments (HR, invoicing, purchasing, stock...)
REQUIRED PROFILE
Education: Higher diploma (minimum Bac +2) in Accounting / Business Management.
Desired qualities :
- Knowledge of the Luxembourg chart of accounts (debit/credit, assets/liabilities, expenses/income)
- Knowledge of Luxembourg tax law (VAT, discounts, etc.)
- Organization and thoroughness
- Confidentiality and discretion
- Good management of stress and priorities
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical skills
- Good command of IT and office tools (WORD, EXCEL, Business Central accounting software, IDEP).
Languages: Fluency in French is imperative. A good understanding of English is necessary. Another language (Luxembourgish or German) will be considered an asset.
